Giannina Capitani LTD was established in 2013 and An Artful Life have been stocking her designs ever since! Based in London and from Italian - Scottish ancestry Giannina Capitani is known for juxtaposing bold, colourful, graphic pattern with luxurious tactile knitwear. Using her heritage as a starting point she draws inspiration from Italian design and combines it with Scottish textile tradition.

Giannina graduated from Glasgow School of Art with an BA (hons) in Fine Art: Painting and then went on to study a MA in Constructed Textiles: Knitting specialism at The Royal College of Art, London.

Based in Dalston, part of the creative Eastend of London. The studio is passionate about craft skills and industry, all products are knitted in a small factory in England and hand finished in her London studio from 100% merino wool. The studio only uses the highest quality materials sourced from companies based in the UK. In opposition to excessive consumption and with the aim to produce well made knitwear pieces that stand the test of time and will be loved for many years to come.
